Congratulations DAISY Award Winner Hallie!

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever DAISY Award! Congratulations to our extraordinary nurse Hallie Wunn for her dedication and unwavering commitment to patients.

The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award is an international recognition program that honors and celebrates the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. The DAISY Foundation was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he died from complications of the auto-immune disease ITP in 1999. During his hospitalization, they deeply appreciated the care and compassion shown to Patrick and his entire family. When he died, they felt compelled to say “thank you” to nurses in a very public way.

Hallie is an RN in our Packard Family Care center and demonstrated compassion, guidance, and reassurance every step of the way with a special growing family. We had the privilege to honor Hallie with a celebration that included peers, leaders, and the nominating family.

A patient wrote the following about Hallie:

“Hallie was an answer to prayer entering the hospital to give birth to our first child. She was full of charisma, joy, and kindness with every conversation. She genuinely cared when instructing, taking vitals, or even just listening to us. She was very personable, very intelligent, and very professional. We honestly could not imagine getting through pregnancy without her there. The other nurses were great as well, but Hallie really made a difference. We even made sure we waited in the delivery room to say the name until Hallie was there. We love her."

Join us in celebrating and congratulating our remarkable nurse for this incredible achievement and for making a profound difference in the lives of the families she cares for. Hallie’s dedication and commitment have touched hearts and forever shaped the memories of this family's unforgettable experience.
