Important Update on Medicare Hospice Protection Act |

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have bypassed Congress and managed to get a rule signed by President Bush that will result in serious rate cuts to hospices across the country. Over the next three years this will result in a rate drop for Beloit Regional Hospice of $7.00 per patient per day. This is a significant cut that will have a major impact on our annual budget unless we are able to increase our fundraising capabilities, which will be a tremendous challenge with today’s economy.

| A seven-week Adult Grief Support Group will be starting on Tuesday, October 7 at the Beloit Regional Hospice Offices, 655 Third Street, Suite 200. To register, call 608-363-7421. |
Beloit Regional Hospice will begin a seven-week grief support group on Tuesday, October 7th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Grief support groups and resources are open to anyone in the community who has experienced a death. Meeting with other people who are experiencing similar circumstances provides encouragement and support. Coping skills and various aspects of the grieving process are discussed. The group is held at 655 Third St, Suite 200, Beloit. There is no charge for this group but registration is requested. Please call 608-363-7421
