This #GivingTuesday We Are Giving Thanks!
The holiday season has begun and as we celebrate, we at Beloit Regional Hospice would like to take a moment to give thanks to our community. Our mission at Beloit Regional Hospice is to care for our patients as the whole and unique person that they are, involving their families and loved ones, and to make each moment of remaining life that they have as full and comfortable as possible.
Because of the gap between reimbursement of services and the promise that we will accept all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, Hospice has needed to reach out to the community for help in fulfilling our mission.
We are writing to express the gratitude of all the nurses, CNAs, social workers and others here at Beloit Regional Hospice, for the outstanding show of community support at this month’s 12th Annual Doves & Diamonds Fundraising Gala.
We were honored to host a wonderful evening celebrating hospice and our community of generous supporters in Beloit and beyond.
We welcomed sponsors who have been funding hospice for years and those who joined us for the first time. The common theme was praise for the high-quality, experienced and compassionate care that BRH provides. We ate, danced, shared stories and fond memories, all while raising thousands of dollars to ensure that we can continue to provide end-of-life services to area residents for years to come. We were able to break our previous fundraising record, raising over $101, 800 in cash and in-kind donations.
These funds will allow us to continue to care for our community through hospice services, palliative care, grief and caregiver support, outreach and community education and more. In the words of a patient’s son who gave us a call today to thank us, “Our experience with your organization could not have been better or smoother. It, of course, was a hard time but you lived up to everything you said you would. You have one of the hardest jobs imaginable and you have the best people to do it! I felt I had to call and let you know this. Thank you to all of the staff!”
This holiday season we at Beloit Regional Hospice want to give thanks to our wonderful community of supporters. Whether you have given your time, talents or treasure, we couldn’t do this important work with out you.
