Volunteer Training Session

Beloit Regional Hospice Volunteers are at the core of our philosophy of care. All volunteers are provided with extensive training and are asked volunteer in a capacity with which they are comfortable. Volunteers assist patients and families by providing companionship, emotional support, caregiver relief, or light housekeeping as needed. They also assist in the office providing suppor to the staff. The training is designed to provide information on hospice and end-of-life care including:
- Hospice Goals, Services & Philosophy
- Communication & Family Dynamics
- Active Listening
- Symptom & Pain Management
- Dying, Death & Grieving Process
- Volunteer Opportunities
This is an informal, interactive learning experience. We will provide refreshments and a light lunch each day. You must attend both days. The training will take place in the Beloit Memorial Hospital Board Room. The front desk can help direct you. Thanks for expressing your interest in giving back to your community.
