Happy Holidays!  As the New Year approaches we would like to invite you to attend our first volunteer training of 2017!  This is a two day training program and is scheduled for Saturday, January 14th  & Saturday, January 28th, 2017, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Beloit Memorial Hospital in the boardroom. Volunteers assist patients and families by providing companionship, emotional support, caregiver relief, or light housekeeping as needed.  They also assist in the office providing support to the staff.   This training is designed to provide you with information on hospice care and end-of-life education including:

  • Hospice goals, services, and philosophy
  • Communication and family dynamics
  • Active listening
  • Symptom and pain management
  • Spirituality
  • Dying, death, and the grieving process
  • Volunteer opportunities

Please call 608-363-7421 or email volunteer@beloitregionalhospice.com by January 4, 2017 to reserve your spot.  Seating is limited.

This is an informal, interactive learning experience.  We will provide refreshments and a light lunch each day.  You must attend both days.

The hospital is located at 1969 W Hart Road in Beloit.  We will be meeting in the boardroom.  You can ask at the front desk for direction.   Thank you for expressing an interest in giving back to your community, we couldn’t continue our important work without volunteers!
