Ribfest | A Hospice Fundraiser
Beloit’s Annual Ribfest Competition a fundraiser to benefit Beloit Regional Hospice and Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor’s Shelter is back for a another year of friendly competition. Proceeds will be split between the two organizations. Last year each organization received more than $5,000.
The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18 at The Rock Bar and Grill, 101 Maple Ave.
Admission to the event is free. With portions of ribs available at a fee, giving ‘the people’ an opportunity to vote for their favorites, in addition to the judges picks.
The event raises much appreciated funds to help support Beloit Regional Hospice’s efforts to providing comfort and quality of life care for patients and their caregivers in Northern Illinois (Boone and Winnebago) and Southern Wisconsin (Rock, Green and Walworth). When cure is no longer the goal, emphasis is placed on the alleviation of pain and other symptoms that include the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients as well as the social and spiritual needs of the family and friends caring for their loved one.
A nonprofit, community-based organization, Beloit Regional Hospice also provides grief support groups for adults, children and teens in the Stateline area at no cost to residents. This fundraiser is a great opportunity to enjoy great food and friendly-competition while supporting an organization that works tirelessly to help the Stateline community.
